Dear Wise ones,
This one has me stumped. Mother has been exclusively pumping and gets 15-18 oz per day. Her baby is 6 months old. She gets some formula and just started cereal. The baby has begun to refused the breast milk in the bottle, willingly takes formula in the bottle. Will take cereal made with the breastmilk. This gradually happened after Mom returned to work.
The milk is no more than 24 hours old, not frozen.
Per the mother, it does not smell different or taste funny.
She has not changed her diet, started any new medications or vitamins, herbs.
I suggested she scald the milk just to see if it made any difference. It did not.
Anyone have any ideas about why this is might be happening and what to try next?
