Hi Ilene,
Well, I have tried your idea..And my co-worker will go a step farther in the
manner you described. She will be asking BRU (local) to put the stickers she
makes inside the pump with relevant information on who to call in our
community. I wrote to the company with my concerns and I posted their
reply on lactnet. Since it came out kinda scrambed I don't think many read
it.
Dear Robin Roots:
Ms. Roots, I do apologize that I do not have a contact name, phone number
or
email address to give you. I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes you.
You can ask to speak with the store director in your local store. You can also
write to our corporate office at:
One Geoffrey Way
Wayne, New Jersey

If you have other questions, Ms. Roots, please call 1-800-869-7787.
Sincerely,
Toys "R" Us Guest Relations Team
I didn't send it to Toys R Us........jeez!
I have been in the store to do inservices with my partner, so they do know
me. And they also donated some small items to our outpt lactation clinic. I
offered to do an inservice free of charge on the breastfeeding related items.
Still no response. Here is what I sent to the company..Babies r us NOT toys R
us, which these two companies go hand in hand...
Hi, I am a Registered Nurse and a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I work
at Mercy Folsom Hosp. I have done a Medela inservice at your store in Folsom
with my friend Karen Evon. I was offering your store (my community) free
inservice on your breastfeeding products. What do moms do when they have
questions about using the breast pumps ie. how long can they store milk.
fresh,
cool and frozen? how to know what size flange fits their breast. How to
properly use a nipple shiel. Why the
size small you carry is rarely if ever used. How to tell if the baby is actually
getting milk from the breast when using the nipple shields. Can they affect
milk supply. What to do if liquid gets in the tubing on pumps. If you would be
interested in anything I might be able to share my knowledge of these
products
to please let me know. My desire is to educate moms and not get
discouraged
with breastfeeding and I know its hard to navigate all the gadgets out there.
Thank you for reading this, sincerely, robin roots RN, IBCLC

Comments/Suggestions
I hope you are received better than I was.
best wishes,
robin
