Our department (all IBCLC's - 3RNs, 1 LPN) wears scrubs (same scrubs for all
RNs house wide) or street clothes (dressy casual) and a lab coat. We
debated this for awhile & decided on either. We do get mistaken by patients
at times for floor nurses - despite our introduction and different care.
If I see someone on another unit that is ill or infectious (peds) - I can
put a yellow isolation gown over either.
