One more thing to add to Susan's thorough and well-written post about babies
and feeding...
Some babies with dyscoordinate suck or tongue limitations in strength,
stamina, range of motion, or breathing struggles will gulp while not actually
transferring adequate milk in reasonable times. They sound like they are moving
lots of milk but are really struggling with even small amounts and not overly
speedy/forceful milk ejections.
