Hi all,
In one of our brochures (about too much milk) it says (I translate into English):
"By drinking less, you cannot reduce your milk production.
There are herbs that are said to stimulate milk production, for example caraway, fennel, anise, dill, cumin, marjoram, oregano en basil. Maybe you can avoid these.
Sage and celery seems to reduce milkproduction."
Our question: is the word 'seem' in order, or can we call the effect of sage and celery evidence based?
We are careful with mentioning things like this, but if we can refer to research, it is good to include it.
Another question that arose: if drinking less doesn't help, then why would herbs that reduce body fluids do reduce production? ;-)
Thanks beforehand for your input.
Warmly,
Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands
