Hi everyone,
I have a friend who will be doing some relief work with her church in the
Puerto Plata region of Dominican Republic in March. She has been told that
there are many Hiatian refugees there as well and support for women for
breastfeeding is needed. She has also been advised that women in these
countries do not value the colostrum and feed tea mixtures until milk volume
increases. She is in need of free handouts in Spanish and French including
information to teach the value of colostrum. I have referred her to many sites
with good handouts but wanted to ask all of you for input. Any one with
experience in this area of the world willing to chime in as to what she may
expect?
Thanks in advance.
