Dear Kathleen:

As a fellow dog lover, my sympathy to you and your family.  I always try to 
remember that if a dog spent his life in a loving family, there is no 
question in my mind that is was a great one.

I've always been interested in Corgis because I love the herders, but have 
never owned one.  It sounds like they are wonderful dogs.
