Please share the research on the use of high-fat human milk for low growth (Paula Meier) with both mom and doctor. Mom's own's milk fat is far far better than vegetable oil of any kind.

with her Pediatrician. This case was a real botch up for breastfeeding. Baby
with vaginal delivery. Oxygen and separated from mom. Cardiac problems as
well. Mom was set up with pumping right away and was storing lots of milk.
She couldn't feed it to the baby because the pediatrician would only let him
have pedialyte 5 cc every 3 to 4 hours. Baby had ng but had residuals.
I continued to prod and ask when can we give this baby breastmilk? Still no he
was not able to tolerate pedialyte. Once out of oxygen when she could hold
her baby still in observation I pushed to let her at least have skin to skin in
the nursery with privacy curtains. Eventually we got to feed the baby breast
milk and when he wanted to eat. The cardiologist maintained it would tire him
too much to breastfeed. Well, you know the results of this, mom is still
pumping and giving her baby her milk. He will not go to breast. She still
continues to do skin to skin as much as she can. The last visit baby is not
gaining enough weight so the Ped wants her to put a tsp of corn or sunflower
oil in each bottle of her milk. I cannot find the research on this one. I asked
her to ask him for the research. So, we both can learn. Any of you know this
one?
