Sent this previously - and didn't see it go through --- so here I try again:

We just had a wonderful discussion group / meeting with our two local associations; LILCA and ALP (Long Island Lactation Consultants Association and Association of Lactation Providers) in the beginning of this month. It was a few hours of information about five of us could come up with on cosleeping, sids etc. I found most of my information from McKenna and also Dr. Jay Gordon's book "Good Nights" which not only helps parents find a safe sleep environment but gives also a humorous history of "bedsharing and cosleeping" It was a wonderful explanation on how humans always co slept with their infants/children. McKenna had much evidence based research on how it benefited the child even later in life and how it gave them so much confidence and self esteem. I was elated to learn that co sleeping even past toddler hood was not bad but good for the future of that child. (since my 8 yr old daughter is still cosleeping very often (very)).

If any one is interested I can send some of our articles. Do we have the capability to send files to the group as my PP list does?

Regards and safe sleeping to all :)
