Hello, 

Here in Ottawa, we have had for the last two year a mother-to-mother support program ran by the City. The Ottawa Breastfeeding Buddies program pairs a volunteer who has breastfed for at least six months with a new breastfeeding mother. The volunteer's role is to offer support, encouragement, and a link to community breastfeeding and parenting resources via telephone communication. Ottawa Breastfeeding Buddies volunteers contact mothers before and/or soon after their baby is born and continue with telephone support for six months. 

I think this program is also available in other towns in Ontario but I'm not sure about other provinces. Of course, we also have LLL meetings all around the city and that is true all across Ontario and I believe across Canada.
