The irony just hit me that two of the meds in question are either a med
given or in the class given for hours at a time as regional
analgesia/anesthesia during labor and delivery for term and preterm infants
-- much younger than 3 mos. Would think transplacental exposure would be
much greater, yet those who voice concern are considered nutso.
Not to mentions that steroids, such as or similar to methylprednisolone
have been given to premies for certain conditions (and/or mothers with
autoimmune conditions pre-/post-delivery take them daily and BF).
