This is a wonderful description by a mother who simply knew something was wrong and who finally knows what it is. I wonder, increasingly, just how many mothers are bothered by this. I think I may start putting with my materials, somehow, something like "If you have any icky feelings while you're nursing, yucky feelings that last just a short time and then go away, let me know and I'll explain what it is." Something like that - something to open the door. This woman would never have discussed it with anyone, but her breastfeeding has been made far better for having the information.
