I'd rather use my energy to fight mechanismes that endorse any kind of
detached mothering styles, be it commercial or ideological.
**Go ahead, Gonneke... Medela does that! ;-)
Much of their marketing is more than clearly stimulating detachment.
Just checked the Dutch site today: all kinds of weird wordings, such as with
the PnS: "Like this, breastfeeding becomes nice!" Huh?!?!
Although I can understand what you mean about the containers/bottles without
teats, I do have problems with the mm-promotion instead of bf-promotion.
There's really too much idealization, which is against the Code in itself.
Very disappointing.
Warmly,
Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands (with the addiction of nearly always
having the editor-hat on)
