I had a call today from a woman with nine month old, her third, first two
never had any trouble nursing. This one, she has been having clogged ducts
in one breast periodically, followed by bouts of vaso constriction. We have
treated the clogged ducts with both internal and topical application of
lecithin; the vaso constriction with Vitamin B6 and Magnesium. The question
is why do these keep happening? nothing in her diet seems to be causing the
problem, no other changes. This baby is actually a better nurser than the
first two, more efficient; she finishes a nursing in about five minutes, where
siblings at this stage were still taking twenty minutes to finish the feedings. I
wonder if this is the difference? Looking for your input on this! Thanks!
