Wait a minute: This mom was in her private car and someone complained? I
think telling the one complaining to grow up, mind thier own business and
stop being a "peeping tom" might be a better idea.

While some may find suggesting she sit in the back seat or park farther away
acceptable, I personally do not. This mom did nothing wrong at all, to
anyone. The administrator spoke to the wrong person...imo.

I don't know if she has any recourse - but I feel for her tremendously. She
is right - she has the right to be in her car on her break and do what she
needs to do. I'm just waiting for someone to start telling smokers who
stand outside the door of the office building to be more discreet and smoke
at least 400 yards away from the door so as not to offend the non-smokers
(or expose them to second hand smoke).

J
Feeling cranky today because I am sick - yet again...sigh an can't go work
with mommies.

Subject: pumping in car

Permission to post:

An employee of a nursing home was outside pumping in her car. She was
completely covered.
Another employee was also outside, noticed, and complained to the
administrator.
The administrator told the pumping employee to please be more discreet.

The mother wonders whether we have any laws protecting pumping in her car in
Missouri. (Well, no, not exactly.)

Obviously there are many suggestions like:
Hey! Request a private pumping place inside!
Sit in the back seat of the car and pull down the child's sun shades.
Park farther away from where other employees might be outside.
Etc

But the mom wonders if she has any applicable rights/recourse.
It is, after all, her own car. It's authorized to be there. She's on her
break.
