Well, here I am at work questioning the Medela conversion of 35 grams per oz. I don't have specs for the scale available so thought I would do a little experiment. Rather than weigh an actual baby who didn't need it I weighed Lawrence and Hale together (the books, not the authors and no I have no financial interest) which by the way weigh 6 pounds point 3 ounces or 2732 grams.? 6lb-.3 oz?=96.3 oz.?? 2732 divided by 96.3 oz =28.3 grams which means one ounce =28.3 grams.? Most of us in the US round up to 30 grams per ounce but the scale does the calculation at 28.3 grams/oz.? So where did the 35 grams per ounce come from?? That's way off and, indeed, not the Medela Baby Weigh scale conversion.

? Back to working with moms and real?babies now.
