I have searched in archives and could find little.
57 year old mom, no menstral period x 1 year. Has 1 day old from surrogate
pregnancy. Surrogate is pumping for 3 days for baby to have colostrum.
Mom is latching baby with feeding cues and is producing clear fluid from
breasts.
I know there is anecdotal info re grammas nursing into 70's and 80's.
Am I right in thinking that estrogen and prolactin are declining in menopause so
milk supply is an issue for this mom? She is considering milk bank supply and
using SNS at breast.
Here is one study I found re to attempting to stimulate prolactin.

Anyone else have experience with this type of nursing situation.
thanks
