Spoke to a mom today who is eliminating dairy from diet. Baby is unhappy
and very gassy. The Nurse Practitioner said that stools looked "acidy." They
are questioning reflux, but wanted to try having mom modify her diet first.
When we reviewed her diet, she has been eating english muffin with peanut
butter for breakfast, peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and tuna
sandwich for dinner. Eats fruits for snacks. Sounded like she eats these things
very frequently. I did loan her my MSPI cookbook so she can vary her diet a
bit.
She has been on dairy elimination for the past 10 days and actually feels
the baby maybe worse. My question is could eating all this peanut butter be
causing this baby increased discomfort?
