Pat,
I don't know about bananas passing through breast milk, but we
discovered a few years ago that my son is allergic to bananas (and
hazelnuts, coconuts, pecans and filberts). We tease him that he would
never make it in the tropics. He does not have severe allergic
reactions to these foods, just sneezing, watery eyes. I think bananas
is a pretty unusual allergy, but clearly possible. I haven't tried
cooking the bananas, I used to make banana cake a lot, so now maybe
I'll try it again.
