Our new manager for the NICU is talking about gettingbedside warmers for the
brest milk. Is anyone doing this? I think it will be too much heat but have been
asked to look into this.
Also are you sill using test weights for breat fed babies intake. Our Neos push
so much formula on these kids that if a baby is getting one ounce from mom
and they are saying the baby shhould get 46 ml the stafff will still give the 16
mls to make the difference up. We have babies that are taking 50mls at each
feeding on the 2nd and third dayof life. A new mother isn't making that muich
at each feeding. but if they don't keep it down they don't go home till the
keep up with the progressive feeds.
Thanks for any help
