I think that people misunderstand the Code. It's not about what tools people
choose to use in caring for their babies. It's not about making any
judgement on those tools. It's about protecting mothers and babies from
unethical marketing that undermines breastfeeding. The Code is the minimum
standard, not an ideal by any means. Advertising of bottles to the general
public is a breach. No company can claim to support breastfeeding and
knowlingly breach the Code.

I think that for many of us, we have a divided personality on the subject of
bottles and nipples (teats) being advertised by Medela.
