Star, I'd love to see the information you get about this topic. I am "at
risk" as my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer over 5 years ago, a few
weeks before I gave birth to my first baby. I've been breastfeeding ever
since, non-stop (on my 3rd baby right now) and am being told the same, that
I cannot be screened until everyone is weaned (only they're telling me at
least 3 months no pregnancy or lactation). I'm 35 and very healthy, so I'm
not too panicked about this but it sure would be nice if there was a
movement to train radiologists to read mammograms (or other screening tools)
of lactating breasts.
