I had an interesting discussion with a Ped OT I saw for a consult. We were
talking about babies who have such difficulty with breastfeeding and feeding
in general. I have always suspected that later on in this child's life a dx
of some kind will be made. And it has happened that when meeting a mother
years later, this is true. This OT does ask about feeding and breastfeeding
when she sees a child with sensory intgration, neuro problems and yes there
is a high proportation of them with very early feeding problems. A study
that needs to happen. Interesting, something we have all been wondering
about. Ann Anderson
