Totally agree that it is the associated factors

When I worked with students in early 1990's in a MI hospital with a huge 
epidural rate (even then! pricey, posh place to have baby) what I saw was 
baby and mom unseparated for 1-2 hours, nursing established -they didn't go 
from LDR to room   until baby had nursed.! Even tho babies then went o 
nursery for weight/wash etc.  they still seemed to know what to do when they 
got back to mom.  I always thought it was the early imprinting of BF :-)
