I can't seem to find the study I had once. However, I have personal
experience.

My oldest daughter, now 7 1/2, has terrible food allergies - dairy (outgrew
at 6 years old), nuts (severe), peanuts (life-threatening), and several
others that are milder. She was always up multiple times a night, AND a
bed-wetter until we did hypnosis for her at age 7.

My son, 4, is not food-allergic, and sleeps much better. Never a
bed-wetter, and only up once a night through toddlerhood, now mostly
sleeping through the night.

N=2 here, but both exclusively breastfed, my daughter refused solids until
close to 15 months old. My son started on solids around 7-8 months and did
fine.
