I have a question for everyone--
At ILCA, Sue Cox gave a presentation on prenatal breast expression. She
shared that is something that mothers have been doing for a long time, and
that she promotes it for providing colostrum for babies at risk-- ie,
mothers of diabetics, mothers with past low supply who have needed to
supplement, etc.
What I'm wondering is where else this practice may be a tradition? I'm
wondering how far back it goes, where it has been practiced, what LCs know
and if there is anything else in print about it?
Thanks,
Lisa Marasco
