I got an email clarifying that LLLLeaders are considered part  that 
Breastfeeding Counselor accredited category, and that each year  will count for 500 
hours, as before. The problem I see is those 6  college-level ( meaning 
"expensive" to me) course they are "advising",  especially since LLLL accreditation 
does include much if not all of that  material.
 
I hope it does deter or defer the Leaders I have been encouraging to sit  for 
the exam starting next year. We so need compassionate and well-trained  
IBCLCs to do home visits here!
