Have they actually tested the baby's iron levels? There's a "quickie" test
with a prick to the toe, a tiny capillary tube fills with a drop of blood,
and test that. Our WIC clinic tests babies frequently, and the b/f babies
rarely fall below the acceptable line.
In the zoo world, we called Poly-vi-sol liquid gold... It is (or used to be)
a golden color, and cost about as much as gold. Apes and monkeys love it,
but it's really sweet for a human!

Had a question from a mom today. Baby was born at 30 wks. Sent home 1 week
ago at 38.5 wks corrected gest. Actual due date 3-15. Baby doing well,
learning how to breastfeed.
