i am surprised to hear about all the issues with prescribing domperidone.
we have many doctors here in portland, oregon who still prescribe dom, at
least one compounding pharmacy that makes it, and many more mothers who opt
to get it, without a prescription, and for about half the price, online.
i provide my clients with the info on several web sites, including the
controversy and the many letters of rebuttal written by tom hale, jack
newman, and many other experts in the lactation community, discuss how it is
used in the rest of the developed world, and leave it up to the client, of
course. most of my clients who could benefit from it do opt to take it. i
have many bfar and pcos moms who take domperidone long term.
perhaps this is a west coast phenomenon?
warmly, Lyla
