My bro in law donated to his sister last summer (sucessfully!!!!) and he had 
a series of shots to stimulate production of something (I don't know what 
they were stimulating or what the shots were :-( , then the harvesting was 
done.  I don't know if every case is done that way   or not.  Not my field
