Can the OB/GYN prove that his/her statement is so?
It certainly wasn't my experience with either of my children.
I did find this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3755355?dopt=Abstract
"Lochia persisted to 60 days in 13% of women."
So not unprecedented by any means.
