I totally agree - bigger is not always better. Extra WEIGHT or too rapid
growth (weight) is associated with obesity and diabetes as well as hypertension
and heart disease. Not so with head circumference or length/height. Larger
head circumference is associated with better neurologic outcome. I believe
social scientists have shown that taller is better when it comes to income and SES.
