We do get quite a few queries from mums asking if they can come along to meetings as they are not members, so it is good to emphasise that they can, and quite a few of the queries we get from mums from abroad do ask that question.
For example we are looking forward to a Malaysian mum coming along to our group in the autumn, but I had to reassure her that we were open to mums of all nationalities whether or not they were members, which made me wonder what happens in her part of the world.
Some organisations charge for 'courses'
LLLGB has a reduced rate for unwaged families too BTW . the website is www.laleche.org.uk , we run our own email help system which is a appropriate to mothers from Britain so it would be good to direct British mothers there rather than via the international site.
LLL in Ireland has it's own website
http://www.lalecheleagueireland.com/
Northern Ireland is actually part of LLL Ireland, but we do work together where we overlap
Another site with information on support schemes called 'Baby Cafes' [mainly UK, but there are cafes in other parts of the world]
http://www.thebabycafe.co.uk/
What a daunting project, I hope you will share the results as it will be of benefit to all of us
