Two issues come up here:
First, I have learned never to trust a clipping unless the person who did it knows how to recognize and clip a posterior tie. I used to refer to
an ENT before I understood the grades of TT and sometimes babies did worse and I never understood why. Now, of course, I know they were not clipped far enough. This ENT does not believe in posterior ties, so I no longer refer to him. Secondly, I never refer for a clipping unless i also refer for CST/chiropractic. I believe they are absolutely integral--babies integrate many compensatory behaviours due to the TT that they often cannot overcome w/o structural work.
