 never thought to look   on wikipedia.  So thanks for  directing  me there, 
all very  very interesting, especially  following the links, and the story 
behind the  family, and the differing perceptions of what happened, both 
then and since.  Also seeing how the  photo was touched up at some point to 
present her as less careworn, more glamorous than she was.   I'd assumed 
from what I had read that the  nursing photo was one of the ones used in the 
newspaper, but maybe it wasn't.
