Just a diaper. I leave the same diaper on for the pre and post feed weighs.
(I've weighed the diaper alone, they barely weigh 1/2 oz when new.) Doctor
also weighs with diaper.
Mom is getting rather nervous with the post feed weighs. I wanted to do one
last night. The baby cries when he is naked, or even in just a diapers, and
she
didn't want to upset him. So, she declined a post feed weigh. (Also, did not
want him weighed at all today, saying she needed to go get the Fenugreek.
*sigh*)
**I was at a symposium a few weeks ago and heard Molly Pessl. She suggested
we make it more of a habit to weigh babies on their tommies instead of on
their backs, because the supine position makes them feel so 'naked' and may
cause them to cry. If the weighing is absolutely necessary, maybe this could
be a way to make it less traumatic...?
Kindly,
