It is fortunate that this mother is a pediatrician.  She must have a laboratory that she sends specimens to that would take a representative sample of the milk and check it for mold spores.

It likely is OK, but she probably wants more than my opinion.

I hope this gets her in the habit of washing the faceplate on a 1-2 times a week basis.
