I've had a slightly different (personal) experience with strange feelings
during MER. I have a seizure disorder, and with my daughter (second child),
just before my milk let down, I felt as if I was about to have a seizure. I
get an aura before my seizures which typically includes strong feelings of
anxiety. What would happen before MER, was what my neurologist called a
"pre-aura" (not quite the same as a true aura, but close). It was very
disconcerting until I figured out what was going on! I never did have a
seizure (actually I haven't had one for 5 years now, and I've been able to
come off my meds), and the feeling eventually disappeared around the time my
daughter was 6 or 7 months old.
I never experienced these feelings with my son, and I had an epidural and
Pitocin with both of my children. One difference between my experiences with
my two children however was that with my daughter I also had issues with my
thyroid after birth, along with oversupply/OAMER.
