One of our office techs told me that the other NP gave her pedisure for her
foster child. Toddler, 22 mo, 24 lbs, looks stocky, eats well, and is
SHORT. So is his birth mom. You have to look at both curves and do a BMI.
This kid plots out at 25% BMI, looks good, and eats. Pedisure is just going
to make him fat , not taller........aaarrrggghhh. So it's not just the BF
babies :-(
I have a tall, skinny grandson, age 24, who weighed 42 pounds at 2, 3 and 4,
just kept getting taller. Now techically on a chart his growth leveled and
dropped %age. Does that mean he was FTT?
My own 4th baby, product of oversupply, gained phenomenally, was stocky as a
child and is overweight adult. Did I set him up to be overweight? Looks
like his dad and his uncle (both chunky). Where do genes fit in?
