Hello,
I am looking for information to pass along to a mom who is currently nursing
her own 13-month old and is in process of adopting a baby. She is mostly
looking for mother support and some "scientific reasons" for nursing this baby
to pass along to skeptical family members and the family's pediatrician. Any
hints for success that you may have had in working with similar moms would
be greatly appreciated. We have begun to discuss her options for building
supply, transitioning the baby to breast if he/she has gotten only bottles, and
bonding. My archive search did not turn up exactly what I am looking for to
pass along to her, however. Many thanks to you all!
Kindly,
Leslie Cree (a new and slightly nervous) IBCLC
