Jeanette:  Could this baby have some sensory issues going on?  The obvious 
aversion she shows with body contact with mom seems to suggest that this 
might be something worth looking into.  But with parents (and doc) being 
reluctant to pursue a therapy evaluation, it may not happen, unfortunately.  If 
you could think of some non-threatening ways to present the idea of a 
therapist to them, maybe they would be willing to pursue this avenue.
