~~ I would ask what kind of learning/teaching. Moms post-partum are more
right-brained ( Nils Bergman's work) and are learning a tremendous amount about
themselves and their babies and how they fit together. This may lead to this
not being a good time to teach left-brained skills, or with left-brained
methods. Baby doesn't care if mom can do calculus or remember 10 things in
sequence for "latching a baby on", but is inherently interested in if mom can read a
hunger cue and let her body and the baby's work together to facilitate
things. Dunno if that helps, but...
