I want to thank everyone for their support and expertise as my
daughter struggled to breastfed her extremely premature infant, born
at 27 weeks last September.
Things have really resolved now. Audrey is at corrected age - 4
months and meeting her milestones nicely. She loves to nurse and
would spend her entire life at breast if she could. She still gets a
bit of Neosure with breastmilk a couple of times a day, but hates it
and has to really be hungry and coaxed to drink it. We are hoping
that will be discontinued at her next check up.
Her mom has a full supply plus and took several hundred ounces of
frozen milk to the Iowa City milk bank. She also had earlier milk
where she had used Fenugeek and Blessed Thistle and that is off to
Texas for a baby who is allergic to formula.
She still is pumping and finally using the Purely Yours that I got her
when she was pregnant and still has a bit of oversupply.
Thank you to everyone for your help and encouragement as she struggled
through the early days with this.
