I agree with Rachel entirely on the subject of breastmilk substitutes
not being comparable to tobacco, while the marketing tactics of their
industries are. The comparison I prefer to that of tobacco is:
wheelchairs. Upon occasion there will be a person who needs them, but
we don't put everyone in wheelchairs from birth, make it difficult if
not impossible for anyone to learn how to walk, then look askance at
those who manage to pull it off. As Rachel said, this isn't about
addiction, it's about normalizing the substitute to the point where
you've redefined the original virtually out of existence....
