Morgan - I think that we cannot repeat that concept often enough. Any woman
who receives pitocin, whether it be to induce or augment labor, would have
to be more than a superwoman to go on with labor and not need an epidural.
That is why, in my prenatal classes, I teach that the women should avoid
pitocin like the plague - They have the right to protect themselves by not
allowing the administration of pitocin, which is usually for the convenience
of the hospital staff. Thanks for the reminder.
