Just to be clear, the average eating a 'typical' SAD cannot omit dairy
or milk subs and get enough calcium.

So if we're going down the road of 'dairy/milk subs' are unnecessary
(and I think they are ABSOLUTELY unnecessary) then it's important to
also discuss the diet that supports nutritional status.

We buy this load of nonsense that nutritional deficiency is rare when
it fact most people are seriously deficient in multiple nutrients but
mistake their normal lack of energy, clear thinking, optimal function
as acceptable.

Most people are not willing to be involved in the kind of diet that
makes no dairy/no milk subs/no supplements possible.....so proceed
with caution when advising such.

Make no mistake, I *often* advise it - esp for moms with young colic-y
babies who aren't soothed by the 5-S's.....but i'm always careful to
work with them on how they will be getting sufficient calcium (which
will vary depending on how much animal protein they get among other
things).
