Nova,
I am one of those moms who has both nursed and formula fed. My 21 year
old daughter and 17 year old son were not breastfed due to a lack of
education. My youngest two, the 14 year old boys, were breastfed for 22
months. Before they were even thought about I began working in
maternal/child and knew the right way to feed my children. While I love
all 4 there is definitely a different bond between the ones that were
nursed. I'm not sure the talked about IQ points would have helped the
older 2 (they're too smart for my own good now) but I know that a lot of
their health concerns would not exist. Connor and Cameron are much
healthier and even now as teenage boys are much more willing to hang out
with their mom than their older brother.
