I doubt it's a sebaceous cyst because this is not a palpable nodule. It
appears to be on the surface only and is soft and 'squishy'.
I also don't think it's a montgomery gland because it's about 1/2 cm away from
the areola border.
It probably is along the milk line so it could very well be an accessory nipple.
However, mom didn't mention that she had had it previously, and this is her
2nd time breastfeeding. I will ask.
Thanks for the heads up regarding MRSA. I'll let mom know to use very good
handwashing. I think baby can still nurse though, as it is not in an area where
his mouth touches.
