Is anyone's memory better than mine right now?

I really thought I remembered B-6 was one of the components of the ancient "dry-up shot" that used to be given to moms who weren't going to bfd (before it was taken off the market as ineffective and nausea-causing). It would explain, though, why no tests were done to see if it got through the milk since the moms weren't bfdg anyway.

In my search to confirm my memory, I checked the Womanly Art of Bfdg from 1981 which didn't help with my current question (the section I was remembering didn't show up until the 1987 edition and didn't specifically name the drug). Maybe another old person will know!

However I thought you'd all enjoy the topics that were included in the Special Circumstances chapter of the WAB from 1981. Look how many of them have become "routine" instead of "special."

Cesarean birth, prematurity, jaundice, multiples, sore nipples, breast problems, expressing & storing milk, breastfeeding & working. . . .and others, too, which are still "special."

In many ways, we know so much more about lactation now~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and in other ways society did a better job of protecting bfdg in 1981.
