Robin, please don't take my comments about the video personally :) I
am really sorry if I offended you. I was not commenting on the video
as being appropriate or not for the particular mother you had in
mind, but I *was* commenting on it as a piece of general information,
which is what it was produced to be. In general, hand expression is
not something a mother needs to have done *to* her - the mother in
your case might have an IV in both hands, but the mothers in the
video did not.
You say, ' If you look for something wrong, you will
find it.' I genuinely did not look for something wrong in the way you
suggest - but I am *always* careful when I look at teaching
materials, because very often I *do* see something wrong!
And when I do, I want to be able to post about it to Lactnet without
fearing I am offending the original poster. You didn't make the
video, Robin, and I was not criticising you!
I actually don't know of a good video that shows hand expression in
great detail.
